12th May 1820 saw the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Each year on 12th May, International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world.

Nursing and the practice of medicines use has come a long way since Florence Nightingale’s time, so it gives us time to reflect on ensuring all the hard work undertaken in care establishments is done so with the best quality of care in mind.
