Speeds Healthcare are a proud provider of NHS services.
You can find further information about the NHS services we provide in our
practice leaflet.
Community Patients Delivery Service
Eligible community patients can receive deliveries direct to their homes via standard Royal Mail from Tuesday to Friday.
If a designated delivery day is required, this can be scheduled through a third-party courier at additional cost.
Please contact us for more information.
NHS Prescription Dispensing
We offer a complete pharmacy solution which includes NHS prescription dispensing.
If you’d like your NHS prescription dispensed by us, you can ask your GP practice.
They may ask for a code for our pharmacy – this is FDP63.
Please contact our dispensary team on 01244 906111 to tell them to expect your prescription.

Storage of Medicines
It is important that you store medicines correctly. If medicines are not stored correctly, they may not work properly.
Many medicines need to be stored at room temperature (below 25°C). Avoid storing medicines in kitchens or bathrooms due to temperature and humidity changes.
Medicines should be stored:
- Out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources
- Out of the sight and reach of children and vulnerable persons
Medicines that need refrigeration should be stored between 2°C and 8°C. Some can be stored out of the fridge once opened.
Expiry Dates
Medicines, like foods, have expiry dates after which they should not be used. Once expired, stop using the medicine and start a new supply. Any remaining medicine should be returned to a pharmacy.
Return of Medicines
Medicines that are no longer required or have expired should be returned to a community pharmacy.
If you would like to return waste medicines to us, please contact the pharmacy team on 01244 906111.
When medicines are returned to a community pharmacy, we ensure they are disposed of correctly. It is especially important that you return inhaler devices, as many still use hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs or ‘F’-gases’) which contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. If disposed of in domestic waste, they may release HFCs when crushed in waste collection vehicles.
Chaperone Patient Notice
All patients have the right to the presence of a chaperone during a consultation, examination, or procedure. This includes an informal chaperone, such as a family member or friend.
You may prefer to have a formal chaperone present, in which case we will endeavour to accommodate this request.
- Please inform us when you make an appointment so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
- A formal chaperone may not always be available; therefore, we may need to reschedule your appointment or refer you to a pharmacy where a formal chaperone is available.
Your pharmacist may choose to have a chaperone present during your consultation, examination, or procedure. This intention will be made clear to you beforehand.
- If you prefer not to have a chaperone present and the pharmacist is not comfortable proceeding without one, we will make every effort to arrange for you to see another healthcare professional as soon as possible.
